Miina Akkijyrkka, a Helsinki based artist made a place for herself in the
world of art because of her exclusive image of the cow. All throughout her
career she has innovated different representations of the cow that have created
controversy and interest in many people.
She used the cow as her inspiration for her career in art, this may seem
strange for many people, but it makes sense when you look at the history of her
schooling. She studies about horses at the Equine College Ypaja. Before
attending the school of Fine Arts in Finland,
she studied about dairy farming at the Dairy Farming School of North-Savo. Miin
is called as a protector of Finncattle, the native dairy breed of Finalnd, and
